Dot-to-Dot Letters

We did some pre-writing practice today.
I used small stickers to make a dot-to-dot of upper and lower case letters on each sheet.
I made one sheet for each letter of his name.

Little Mister used a highlighter to follow the dots and complete the letter.

Some he did really well. Others, he circled the stickers or just shaded the space between them. It was a pretty good start I think!

  1. How cute! My step-son loves to color, and has a lot of interest in writing. I have had him try tracing letter that have been printed as dashed lines, and after a while, he gets pretty creative with his tracing. Everything turns into silly fun when you're a kid :)

  2. I love this idea and I see lots of value in it - development of small motor skills, recognition of organized patterns, practice of logical thinking - all besides seeing the letters in his name and the satisfaction of having traced (most of them :)!) out. Mommy, I think you're terrific!
